Arobas Consulting BV, Prieelstraat 13 bus 401, 1730 Asse, company and VAT number BE 1017.249.589, is the data controller. For anything to do with your data, email andy@arobas.be.
If you get in touch, Arobas processes your name, your email address, your phone number and whatever you write in your message yourself. That happens in order to answer your question and to be able to draw up a quotation.
If it turns into an assignment, the data needed for invoicing and for carrying out the work is added: your company details, your VAT number and the access credentials you provide yourself.
For talent acquisition, Arobas processes candidate data on behalf of the client. That data is used only for the vacancy concerned and not for anything else.
The form on the contact page sends nothing to a server. It opens your own mail app with the fields already filled in, and only once you press send does your message reach Arobas. As long as you do not do that, nothing has been sent and nothing has been stored.
This site places no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking technology. That is why there is no cookie banner either.
To see which pages are visited, Arobas uses the statistics from Vercel. Vercel counts page views without cookies and without building up a profile of you. The figures are aggregated and cannot be traced back to a person.
The processing rests on the performance of the agreement or on the steps that precede it, on the legal obligations around bookkeeping and invoicing, and on the legitimate interest in securing and improving the website.
Arobas does not sell your data and does not share it for commercial purposes. There are service providers who act as processors: Microsoft for the email, Vercel for the hosting of this website and the accountant for the invoicing.
If a processing operation takes place outside the European Economic Area, it does so on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission or an equivalent safeguard.
Enquiries and quotations that do not lead to an assignment are deleted after two years. Data that appears on invoices and in the accounts is kept for seven years, because the law requires it. Project files are kept for as long as the collaboration runs and for up to five years after that, so you can still have something adjusted later on.
You have the right to inspect your data, to have it corrected or erased, to have the processing restricted, to object and to receive your data in a readable file. An email to andy@arobas.be is enough, and you will get an answer within a month.
If you are not satisfied with the way your request was handled, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be.
The website runs entirely over an encrypted connection. Access to mail and files is secured with strong passwords and two-step verification. Arobas works alone, so nobody else has access to your file.
If anything about this statement changes, the new version appears here, with the date of the change at the top.
